24 years of 5th Quarter Sports Events: 5th Quarter Iowa Sports currently offers Softball and Basketball Leagues, Tournaments, and other competitions throughout Eastern and Central Iowa. We specialize in events for teams of all skill levels- from experienced to beginning teams. We serve over 600 teams and 6000 children each year. Ever Popular Friday Night Thaw and Odd Ball- Odd Year Events are back on the schedule. Awards for winning teams in all events. All our events open to USSSA, ASA, Rec, and School Feeder Teams. Fantastic Friday Night, June 20. Iowa City Area Locations. 8U, 10U, 12U. 13U. $135-2 Games. Fall Softball Events: Friday Night Slam- August 15. 10U, 12U, 14U, High School 2 Games- $135. Iowa City Area Locations. Homers and Hits Softball- Sunday, September 7. Even and Odd Year Event. 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, JV and Varsity High School. Low $160- 3 Games. (Avoid the Big CyHawk Game and play Sunday only that weekend.) Lil Miss October- Sunday, October 5. 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U Divisions. Low $160- 3 Games. Iowa City Area Locations. Last Fall we had softball teams from the Illinois Panthers, Sailor Nation, Belle Plain Craze, Alburnett Pirates, DeWitt Sabres, CR Saints, Fairfax Fusion, Dubuque Little Eagles, Benton Bobcats, Renegades, Williamsburg Pink Raiders, Western Dubuque, Liberty Lighning, MPact, Davenport West, Muscatine Muskies, Easter Iowa Cheetahs, CR Prairie Hawks, Washington Deamons, Jaguars, Linn Mar Lions, Linn Mar Prowl, CR Reds, and more. July 3 on 3 Basketball League- Over 100 teams play each summer. (use next school year as a guide 2025-26) Cedar Rapids Area. Mondays in July- Girls 4-5th Grades. Tuesdays in July- Girls 6-8th Grades. Wednesdays in July- Boys 3-8th Grades. The Palestra in North Liberty Mondays in July- Boys and Girls Teams Grades 3-8. Last Summer 3 on 3 League we had teams including Vipers, LM Lions, Cedar Valley Christian, North Linn, Iowa Dream, CR Bulldogs, CR Prairie, Diplomats, Springville, West Branch, Court 45, Team Iowa, Saints, Tipton, Attack, North Liberty, Cougars, Sparks, CPU Lady Lightning, Solon Spartans, Iowa Prep, After Shock, Bolts, Showtime Hawks, CR Wizards, XMen, Stive BB, WYBC, Jr Warriors, Grim Reapers, Prairie Fire, Ballers, Little Bulls, J-Hawks, Defenders, & More. 2025-2026 Fall Basketball Events- Dates Announced in June.
